22nd Annual Chocolate Festival - Sunday, February 27, 2011

Wow... it is exciting to think this event has been gaining popularity for over twenty years! People come from great distances to cross country ski, snowshoe or drive from inn-to-inn along the trails of our 65 KM network to enjoy the spectacular scenery, warm hospitality, and great chocolate treats at stops throughout the network, most located along the trails.

Known by many as the 'Sweetest Day on the Trails", this may be the only day of the year when chocolate indulgence is totally guilt-free! Chocoholics cross country ski or snowshoe the trails to enjoy chocolate prepared every way imaginable. Many return year after year to enjoy the Chocolate Festival, often returning with a larger group of friends each time!

Chocolate Festival treats

Chocolate dipped strawberries, chocolate fountains and fondue, brownie sundaes, and chocolate cookies of all kinds are just some of the treats you'll enjoy at the trailside stops between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm. A festival map listing all the chocolate stops will be available online before the event. Festival maps will also be available the day of the event when you purchase your ticket or at your first chocolate stop if you've purchased your ticket in advance. Each business will validate the Festival map to confirm your stop. More treats await the chocoholics that have completed the tour! Present your Festival pass on the day of the event to other North Conway area businesses for more special offers!

OTHER AREA STOPS:
Be sure to check back for details about additional area stops.

TOUR TRAIL SUGGESTIONS: Skiers can decide which trails they want to utilize for going between stops.
Between the Old Field House / Riverside B & B and Ragged Mountain the Intervale Trail is the only way.
From Ragged Mountain to the lower end of the network the shortest link is the Intervale Trail to the Pasture Trail to the 1785 Trail.
The Stonehurst Trail connects the 1785 Trail via the Adventure Suites to the Stonehurst Inn and east to the Powerline Trail.
From the 1785 Inn or Stonehurst Manor, take the Powerline Trail to Whitaker Lane then Bancroft Loop.  The Bancroft Loop will take skiers directly to the Whitaker Meeting House.
For Eastern Inns skiers turn off the Bancroft Loop and go a very short distance on the Bancroft Connection before turning right on the Eastern Inn Trail to go to the Eastern Inns. Skiers going to the Eastern Inn need to watch for a signs directing them off the Bancroft Loop to the Eastern Inn Trail. Directional signage will be placed by Sunday to help skiers in Whitaker Woods.

Avoid the crowds and SAVE when you purchase your ticket in advance.
Sorry, all season pass holders must purchase the Festival Pass
to indulge in the chocolate treats!

Online ticket sales for the 22nd Annual Chocolate Festival will open December 1.
Tickets will be available in advance online or at the Touring Center.
