Trail Days - Volunteer

To sign up, please email Cort Hansen or call him during business hours at 603-356-3042. Cort has requested that anyone interested in volunteering 6 - 7 hours of work in exchange for a season pass contact him directly so that he can discuss what needs to be done
and what equipment may be needed.
Plan to bring lunch and water, warm clothes, work gloves, and be prepared for a day in the woods. Trail work usually involves some light clipping of brush and removing debris from trails. Sometimes we will be doing other work, like planting signposts, gate installation, seeding, whatever needs doing before the ski season.
Meeting location will be at Ragged Mountain Equipment parking lot at 9 am.
 The numbers of volunteers will be limited, so this is a first come/first serve basis. If volunteer positions are filled for the day, there will be other days later this fall. Workdays are weather dependent. We will not work in poor weather, and workdays may be canceled due to the weather forecast. We thank everyone interested in helping with seasonal preparations.
Weekly Guided Snowshoe
Walks
Join us any Saturday
afternoon at 11:00 am for a guided snowshoe walk along the East Branch
and Saco rivers.
This is a great way to try this winter activity which
is gaining in popularity with each season. The tour will last between 1.5 - 2 hours covering a distance of less than 2 miles at an easy pace suitable for all ages and abilities. Call the Touring Center at 603-356-9920 for reservations and plan to meet there soon after 10:30 am.
Annual Inn to Inn Chocolate Festival
Join us on the last Sunday in February for the "Sweetest Day on the Trails"! Hundreds turn out for this fun and exciting day cross country skiing or snowshoeing between trailside chocolate stops to enjoy a unique chocolate treat then drive to other nearby businesses for more chocolate. This is a great way to visit a variety of lodging properties for your next trip to the area and to browse other businesses along the trails including a distillery, craft brewery and outdoor outfitter manufacturing their own clothing. A limited number of tickets are available for this event, and they sell out quickly.
